Meet Your Event Planner
My name is Liz Otsu (she/her).
I am a Tacoma based event planner, specializing in weddings and parties. I am a to-do list enthusiast with a knack for coordinating chaos, and love dreaming up ways to add more joy to events.
My goal is simple. I aim to do my best and deliver excellence to ensure that:
Your special day goes smoothly.
Your event feels like a reflection of you.
You and your guests have fun and feel loved.

Wabi Sabi: The Japanese art of finding beauty and appreciation in the simple, imperfect, and impermanent.
Simple: We love a maximalist moment, but do not confuse that for complicated. When it comes to events, simple is best, and definitely less stress.
Imperfect: There is no such thing as a perfect event. As a recovering perfectionist, I love the idea of letting go and rejecting this unnecessary pressure. Let’s ditch it for something real - like joy.
Impermanent: events are a rare fleeting slice of time and space to celebrate with our favorite people. It is important to be present and fully enjoy each moment, so they turn into the best memories.
-
Kindness: How can I be kind today? Leading with kindness is very important to me. From how I communicate with clients and vendors - to thinking about how my business decisions impact people and the planet - I try my very best to get things done things kindly.
FUN: Life is too short not to have fun. I mean, a wedding or special event is a celebration for goodness sakes! I’ll dance, laugh, cry (happy tears) alongside you, and will make sure your FUN is prioritized.
Dedication: Fun fact - I was voted hardest working girl by my peers in the 5th grade. This mentality has stuck with me since. Your event is important, and you’ll be treated with the attention and dedication it deserves.
Inclusion: The lovely Brene Brown said it well. “I’m here to get it right, not here to be right.” All love is welcome and encouraged and the safety and well being of my clients comes first.

My husband, family, and friends. Doing life with my loved ones can’t be beat. They keep me grounded, supported, motivated, and bring me joy. And we have FUN together - duh!
Obsessing over my dog. every millennial can relate.
Running. It has taught me how to show up for myself and put in the miles, even when the going get’s tough. I’ve done 2 half-marathons and my next running goal is to run a race in NYC!
Other things in no particular order include: coffee / walking dates, watching anime, taking new workout classes, Asian food, overpriced brunch, seeing live music, kitchen dance parties, and being near the water.
